This is an exciting opportunity to work for one of the top law firms in the U.S.! Davis Wright Tremaine LLP is looking for a Lead Legal Document Specialist to join our team. This position offers the flexibility to be fully remote while working within reasonable commuting distance from our offices in New York, Seattle, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland or Chicago.
This lead position is responsible for performing high volume, advanced document processing tasks, including typing legal pleadings and documents, using templates, performing mail merges, working with automatic features and form documents, advanced Excel functions and polished PowerPoint presentations; using Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, Power PDF, Workshare Compare, Intapp Time Entry, Litera Contract Compare, and other software as needed, as well as proofreading. The lead is also responsible for performing workflow coordination duties for a firm-wide in-house team and a third-party vendor.

On a typical day you will:
* Perform a high volume of word processing tasks using software that includes, but is not limited to: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, Kofax Power PDF, Workshare Compare, Intapp Time Entry, and Litera Contract Companion; work may arrive in electronic or digital dictation formats
* Scan text documents and format using styles; cleaning up electronically transmitted files and documents
* Create and edit documents using templates and formatting for automatic feature applications (table of contents, table of authorities, auto numbering and headings via styles, etc.)
* Create and edit book formats, chapters for client desk books, employment manuals, handbooks, benefit plans, etc.
* Create and edit timeline charts using tools provided by MS Word or MS Visio
* Create and edit Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations and various Visio documents
* Assist Systems Department with user input regarding new software or software adjustments/ enhancements; assist staff and attorneys with troubleshooting and solving document issues
* Proofread all work performed
* Perform workflow coordination duties (i.e., assess and prioritize incoming work, respond to requesters, monitor, and at times, assign work to legal document specialists, etc.); and helping to ensure best practices are adhered to
* Perform tasks delegated by manager, (i.e., produce utilization reports, various special projects performed in close collaboration with manager.)
* Partner with and advise manager on capabilities of department to perform certain tasks
* Eyes and ears on the ground regarding happenings in the department
* Maintain a punctual schedule and regular attendance; willingness to work OT and/or flexible schedule in absence of other workflow coordinators
* Attend training classes to stay current in appropriate software
Meet established quality standards, procedural requirements, and production deadlines for work product
Support work requirements generated from all areas of the firm, in accordance with established priorities
* Work as part of a remote team of legal document specialists located within other offices throughout the firm
Join us if you have:
* 5+ years' experience as a legal document processor
* 2+ years' experience performing workflow coordination duties (preferably using ServiceNow platform)
* Demonstrated advanced skills using MS Office products that include Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio; as well as Adobe Acrobat
* Ability to create templates and diagrams, perform mail merges, and create automatic features and form documents
* High degree of attention to detail
* Ability to organize assignments, work under pressure and meet deadlines
* Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with lawyers, clients and staff
* Ability to give direction to fellow team members
* Ability to work in a high-volume, service-oriented environment
* Excellent software knowledge and document problem-solving skills
* Excellent command of the English language, with emphasis on vocabulary, grammar, spelling, punctuation skills, and proofreading of the work product
* Ability to work overtime, or flexible schedule, if needed

Washington State
The annualized salary range for this position in Washington is $80,000 to $100,000 ($41.03 - $51.28 hourly). Actual pay will be adjusted based on the candidate's education, training, experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. Full time employees may be eligible for a bonus, health insurance with an optional HSA, long term disability, dental insurance, vision care, telemedicine and virtual short term solution based counseling services, life insurance, Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, subsidized backup care and caregiving resources, 401(k), vacation, sick time, 11 paid holidays each year and an employee assistance program. For full-time employees, the initial vacation benefit is 15 days per year and 11 days of sick leave per year, accrued bi-weekly. Additional voluntary programs include: voluntary accident insurance, voluntary life, voluntary disability, voluntary long term care, and pet insurance. Commuter and Transit programs are also available.
California
The annualized salary range for this position in Los Angeles is $81,000 to 100,000 ($41.54 - $51.28 hourly). The annualized salary range for this position in San Francisco is $93,000 to $100,000 ($47.69 - $51.28 hourly). Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. Full time employees may be eligible for a bonus, health insurance with an optional HSA, long term disability, dental insurance, vision care, telemedicine and virtual short term solution based counseling services, life insurance, Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, subsidized backup care and caregiving resources, 401(k), vacation, sick time, and an employee assistance program. New York
The annualized salary range for this position in New York City is $89,000 to $100,000 ($48.90 - $54.95 hourly). Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
