I got matched with team in amazon, going to talk to recruiter of team tomorrow(15june) for next steps. But my h1b grace period ends on 27th june.Team matching itself took 25 days. Has anyone seen amazon filing h1b that fast. What should be my next steps to expedite the process.(apart from accepting whatever salary is offered)

Should i email new recruiter right now(sunday) to connect me with immigration team first thing tomorrow? Is there a chance that she/team might just reject the offer saying we cant do it that fast.
Why can’t you apply for b2? Idk how amazon recruiters take this but if you feel there is a risk of jeopardizing the offer do you want to do it? Just let the recruiter know that you want immigration to be done ASAP due to some changes in your life/work. I’m not sure how they respond to strict deadlines

Also if you haven’t got a final offer letter signed , that would take a day + couple of days for background check before they even initiate your immigration, talk to your attorney/ hire one to see how to stay in status. Simplest way I know many people do it is change to b2 and apply with cos but given current h1b discussions and executive order.. you should definitely consult an attorney

Can’t you try for an expedited H1 transfer and aim to get a receipt by 27th ? If so join on receipt.

It's not even about expediting but the internal approvals at AZ along with the labor cert itself will take longer. So PP or not, it will be really tight with the date of actual application so that OP can start working on receipt.

Yes, its very tight but doable. Mine was filed last year within 2 weeks. Accept offer within minutes and ask recruiter to connect with Frogmen immediately. Prepare your docs now and return frogmen’s questionnaire without delay. Raise the time sensitivity to your case worker(s) and keep pushing them. You will keep your status as long as your petition in filed by 60th day. You can join after approval or immediately on Fedex receipt anytime (even after 60 days) if petition is filed by 60th day.

I got a verbal about 10 days ago and have been anxiously waiting to hear back for a team match. Not sure how much longer I’ll have to wait. For SDE1

Even Reddy & Nueman or Murthy lawyers are available for a phone consultation. I would highly advise that in this situation so that you have a strategy in place. They wouldn't change more than $200 for an hour or 30 mins which will be enough if you go prepared.

The problem is with LCA. LCA would take at-least 3 days. Without LCA they cant file H1

Accept offer and ask recruiter to connect with Fragomen immediately. For me it took 2 days for Froggie to send me invitation email. I can share Fragomen contact so you can reach out to them without waiting. As soon as you get connected, tell them your situation. Its tight but doable. Also, USCIS may consider your petition even after 60 days coz of Corona pandemic. Its up-to their discretion. Check with Amazon if they can transfer you to india, in that case you can file h1 from india and come back.
